Mere Way Junction Roadworks Extended Again

Major Ruddington roadworks which have already been causing peak time headaches for motorists for months are being extended by at least another three weeks. The work on Loughborough Road at the Mere Way roundabout to create a suitable access for the new William Davis Homes development on former Green Belt farmland began in September 2020. Petition For Safe Crossing Reaches 1.5K Signatures

A road safety campaign for a better crossing point for walkers, cyclists and horse riders on a busy dual carriageway between Ruddington and West Bridgford is attracting widespread support. Local Tributes to The Duke

Ruddington representatives and residents have been paying tribute to HRH Prince Philip, whose passing at the age of 99 was announced today by Buckingham Palace. The husband of Queen Elizabeth II since 1947, the Duke of Edinburgh died at Windsor Castle this morning (9th April 2021) just two months before his 100th birthday. He was the longest-serving consort in British history and had only returned to Windsor on March 16th after a month in hospital. Clifton Road to Close Yet Again!

After having already been closed to through-traffic three times this year for roadworks, one of the main access routes in and out of Ruddington will be shut yet again this weekend. Excitement is mounting amongst younger children from our village (and beyond) that Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun will be back from Sunday April 11th at 9.00am! The usually weekly event in Ruddington’s Country Park has been cancelled for just over a year due to the Coronavirus pandemic – which, of course, led to Government restrictions on large gatherings.
