A group of eco-minded Ruddington residents is expressing its dismay and disbelief that a major housing developer suddenly changed its mind about allowing them to plant a long row of trees on its land – and didn’t even tell them! Whilst construction continues apace on Bloor Homes’ 167 property ‘Fairham Green’ development, residents in the Grange Farm area have discovered the house-builder is already eyeing up its next Green Belt site further along Wilford Road. Mere Way Junction Roadworks Extended Again

Major Ruddington roadworks which have already been causing peak time headaches for motorists for months are being extended by at least another three weeks. The work on Loughborough Road at the Mere Way roundabout to create a suitable access for the new William Davis Homes development on former Green Belt farmland began in September 2020. Councillors Vote to Rescind Ruddington’s Green Belt

It’s just over a week since we revealed that FOUR Green Belt areas around the edge of our village had been given the Government Planning Inspector’s blessing to be sacrificed for at least 525 new houses. In his report, Senior Inspector Philip Lewis BA (Hons) MA MRTPI concluded that Rushcliffe’s Local Plan Part 2, as submitted for examination, was “legally compliant and sound, subject to a number of modifications” he has recommended.
