More Temporary Traffic Lights This Week

Few weeks seem to pass by these days without at least one set of roadworks potentially causing delays to traffic in and around Ruddington – and there are THREE sets of work to be aware of from this Monday. Villagers down Asher Lane are likely to be disrupted by Severn Trent Water pipe renewal from Monday 4th to Thursday 7th March at its junction with Musters Road {see top image courtesy of roadworks.org}. This will require three-way, 24 hour temporary traffic lights – meaning Musters Road residents may wish to…

Brace Yourself For More Delays and Disruption!

Drivers are being warned to expect major disruption for up to three days – as works take place in Ruddington village centre. Carriageway resurfacing by Via East Midlands is taking place on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council on Charles Street and Parkyns Street. This means both these roads will be closed, with no parking allowed, along their entire length (in red on the map below) between 7.00am and 5.00pm each day from Monday…

More Ruddington Roadworks

Motorists and bus passengers can expect delays to their journeys through Ruddington from today through until the end of next week. It’s because two sets of roadworks are taking place – beginning with Cadent laying a new gas main on Clifton Road from January 29th to February 4th. Until this work is completed, two-way temporary traffic lights are being used to control traffic – which are likely to cause hold-ups for residents, commuters and bus services between Ruddington and Clifton. Further work is then due to take place on both Clifton…

Drivers Warned to Expect Delays

Ruddington’s motorists should brace themselves for more queues exiting and entering our village – as multi-way traffic signals are put into use at one of our busiest junctions tomorrow (Monday 20th August). Renewal of the road linings at the Loughborough Road/Kirk Lane/Flawforth Lane crossroads is being carried out by Nottinghamshire County Council. The good news is that the work is expected to last only for one day – so the disruption caused by the temporary traffic lights should be short lived. The fact that it’s also the summer school holidays…

Village Gridlock!

Ruddington residents have been looking at their High Street with despair this morning after yet another set of unannounced four-way temporary traffic lights appeared! It was known that parking restrictions were to be put into place from 8am today (Sunday September the 3rd) until 5pm on Sunday the 17th of September to allow work to be carried out on the High Street side of Ruddington Fish Bar (their former pizza takeaway entrance) to re-render the walls. The scaffolding means that no parking, waiting, loading nor unloading is now being allowed from the northern boundary…
