What About OUR Ruddy Road?

Residents in the Brookside Road area of Ruddington were left bewildered after Nottinghamshire County Council‘s contractors upped and left before completing the promised and desperately needed work on their crumbling roads. The bad weather had meant the planned pothole filling work on Camelot Street and repair and resurfacing of the rest of the estate was slightly behind schedule – with only Grange Avenue and Fairham Close being completed before the weekend. As the snow thawed on Monday morning, householders in the other streets obeyed the new signs; to keep their roads…

Roundabout Now?

Construction of a new roundabout in Ruddington is finally set to begin after being delayed almost six months by a failure to consult properly with affected properties. Originally work was due to start on the 26th of July last year at the Wilford Road/Clifton Road junction and should have been completed by the end of the school summer holidays. Following a four week consultation Nottinghamshire County Council rubber-stamped their new parking and waiting restrictions at a Highways meeting in October.  These include new double yellow lines in front of the Victoria Tavern Inn and adjacent houses on Wilford Road – and also the…
