Motorists who travel to and from Ruddington via Clifton have found themselves delayed again today (Monday 6th March 2023) – after Severn Trent were called in to fix a leaking water valve on Clifton Road near the junction with Old Station Drive. Drivers are advised these two-way temporary traffic lights are likely to remain in place until this Wednesday 8th – by which time it’s hoped the necessary repair or replacement will be completed. Motorists who usually use Packman Drive to get in and out of Ruddington are being advised to use an alternative route for the next few days. From Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th February a new water connection by Severn Trent will mean 24-hour three-way traffic signals in use on Packman Drive at its junction with Ling Crescent. Unfortunately there are several sets of highway works liable to cause inconvenience and delays for Ruddington motorists during July. These include the total closure of Dutton’s Hill again over the next two Sundays for more gas work.
