At Ruddington Christmas Market is the WI Craft and Bake stall from 11am on Saturday 2nd December in St Peter’s Rooms. November Village Market Cancelled!

Organisers of Ruddington’s popular monthly market have announced their decision to cancel this month’s event over health and safety fears due to the extreme autumn weather. It was due to be held this Saturday, 4th November on The Green and, as normal, would have featured around 80 stalls, food and drink, ‘live’ music and other attractions. Ruddington Shoplifter Jailed

A prolific shoplifter has been put behind bars and banned from a number of local stores as Nottinghamshire Police continue their promised crackdown on repeat offenders. Dale Tainton, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing from Ruddington Co-op on January 7th this year. The 45-year-old had a magnetic de-tagging device when neighbourhood police officers caught him. After pleading guilty to shoplifting and going equipped to steal, he was jailed for eight weeks when he appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on January 16th.
