New Ruddington Defibrillator

As our village population continues to grow, so does the need for potentially life-saving yellow and green boxes in close proximity which are available to our community 24 hours a day. In the past few years, as well as inside various Ruddington premises and on standby for public events, several publicly accessible automated external defibrillators (AEDs) have been installed at locations around our village. Community Art Workshop

FREE! The Community Art Workshop, by Ruddington Art & Craft Society is hosted by the Framework Knitters’ Museum in its Chapel between 10am and 2pm on Saturday 13th January.  This family fun event is made possible from funding by the ASDA Foundation charity through RVCP, Ruddington Village Community Partnership. Penguin Spotters Wanted!

We’d expect no less from our nationally famous Ruddington Yarn Bombers than to adorn our village in amazing, festive style at this time of year. Back in the summer we revealed how the 2023 ‘Ruddington Christmas Market’ would be building  on last year’s hugely popular event by expanding to three days. Museum Volunteers’ Accolade from The King!

It’s been revealed that individuals and groups volunteering at Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum (FWK) have been awarded the prestigious King’s Award for Voluntary Service 2023. Announced on His Majesty’s 75th Birthday today (14th November 2023), it is the highest Royal accolade a local voluntary group can receive in the UK, and is equivalent to an MBE.
