A popular Ruddington, visitor attraction has received its fourteenth consecutive Green Flag Award, acknowledging it as one of the very best parks in the UK. The team behind the Ruddy Good Loyalty Card and Ruddington Village Market has just won the Celebrating Rushcliffe Award for ‘Community Group of the Year’ 2019. Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP), which only formed in April 2018, was recognised for galvanising village centre businesses into more initiatives to drive footfall to traders. Ian Neal, a regular friendly face behind the wheel of Ruddington’s Navy 3 bus, has just won Nottingham City Transport‘s final “seasonal driver award” of 2017. It’s certainly a great way for our village to round off the year since Green 10 driver Badar Sheikh achieved the same accolade right at the start of 2017 following HIS “mystery traveller” assessment.
