After the success of the inaugural competition last year, Ruddington’s representative in Parliament has launched her “Best Local Shop Awards 2021”. A community-spirited village resident says it’s “an incredible honour and privilege” to have been recognised in The Queen’s New Year Honours list for 2021. Kate Robertson, who has become very well known around Ruddington since she moved here from Newark in 1991 with her husband and three young children, will receive an MBE for ‘services to occupational therapy’.
