The team behind the Ruddy Good Loyalty Card and Ruddington Village Market has just won the Celebrating Rushcliffe Award for ‘Community Group of the Year’ 2019. Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP), which only formed in April 2018, was recognised for galvanising village centre businesses into more initiatives to drive footfall to traders. Ruddington Volunteer’s Royal Recognition

A volunteer who has dedicated over thirty years of her life helping to run our village branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is celebrating receiving a special award from Princess Anne. Did you know that a Ranger at Ruddington’s Country park used to play top flight rugby for Ireland?! Zoe Fordham’s achievements have been marked with the award of an Irish international rugby cap as she celebrated her country’s 2018 Six Nations Grand Slam success – 25 years after she herself played in Ireland’s first ever women’s international. Another Ruddington Bus Driver Receives Recognition

Ian Neal, a regular friendly face behind the wheel of Ruddington’s Navy 3 bus, has just won Nottingham City Transport‘s final “seasonal driver award” of 2017. It’s certainly a great way for our village to round off the year since Green 10 driver Badar Sheikh achieved the same accolade right at the start of 2017 following HIS “mystery traveller” assessment. Award for Ruddington Bus Driver

A familiar, smiling face on Ruddington’s Green 10 bus service has won Nottingham City Transport‘s first “seasonal driver award” of 2017. Badar Sheikh achieved the accolade by scoring 91% during his mystery traveller assessment. Mr Sheikh, who sometimes drives the Green 6 route too, commented that he was extremely happy and surprised to have won the award, but he also felt that it was very rewarding to be recognised for doing the job he enjoys.
