October Village Market

Held on the first Saturday of each month, Ruddington Village Market features a huge variety of stalls on The Green. Market day is a great chance to stroll around and also visit Ruddington’s many local shops and businesses. Green Memory Café 

The Green Memory Café at Rushcliffe Country Park is a new initiative in Ruddington for people living with memory loss and their carers. You can drop-in to the refurbished Meeting Room at the Visitor Centre on Wednesday 25th October, anytime between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.  Rushcliffe Dementia Project aim is for people to experience nature based activities, short walks or just to relax, socialise and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Shine a Light!

As the darker nights return, drivers and pedestrians in Ruddington may be pleased to hear that long-awaited work to replace a missing lighting column in our village centre is scheduled for this weekend. It’s around a year since an electrical fault in the base of the street light at the corner of High Street and Charles Street caused it to rather dramatically burst into flames and then slowly ‘wilt’ to the floor. Concerns on Cashpoint Crime

Rushcliffe Police are asking people to be especially vigilant at the moment after recent incidents where ATMs were attacked in the early hours of the morning. Ruddington has three 24-hour cashpoints around the village, and officers say: “If you are passing any cash machines please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Police using the 999 system. These attacks are different than some you may have heard about recently where gas has been used to blow open the ATM’s.” Police have also issued a warning to BMW drivers…
