Criminals’ Quiet Christmas

Statistics released on crimes reported in Ruddington through the festive period suggest that even many law-breakers were enjoying a Christmas break this year! Figures for last month from Rushcliffe Police show there were only fifteen reported offences in our village – ranging from criminal damage, to racial abuse, to the non-payment of a bill by guests at The Cottage Hotel. Pram Theft Among Latest Ruddington Crimes!

One of the most bizarre crimes revealed in Ruddington during the past month was a pram stolen from just outside a resident’s house. On the 27th of November, Cat Pickup reported the unusual theft from her property on Churchill Drive via social media. She said: “It was outside my door. He would’ve had to walk down my drive to get it! Ruddington’s April Crime Figures Revealed

Following our news of further incidents in our village earlier this week, Rushcliffe Police has now published the full list of crimes committed in Ruddington during April 2018. Following a peak around Christmas, there were then only 9 incidents reported in February and 12 in March – but the statistics for last month suggest local criminal activity is again on the rise.
