September’s Ruddington Crime statistics, just issued by Rushcliffe Police, show a spike in vehicle crime around our village. This includes two cars – one parked on Wilford Road and another on Church Street – which had their catalytic converters stolen. It seems thieves target these for the precious metals they contain – such as rhodium, palladium, and platinum – making newer vehicles the most vulnerable. Auto Crime Dominates Ruddington Offences

New figures just released show that vehicle crime was again the most prevalent problem in our village during May 2020 – even though the total number of offences logged by Rushcliffe Police was lower than the month before. This week saw the first use of state-of-the-art ‘Eye in the Sky’ technology by Rushcliffe Police – leading almost immediately to two suspected criminals being caught. Arrests Made After Railway Vandalism

Nottinghamshire Police say they have arrested two boys in connection with the criminal damage at Ruddington’s Great Central Railway site on Monday (29th April). Volunteers at our village heritage centre have estimated that the attack – reportedly involving around half a dozen young people who smashed a total of 112 windows on various items of coaching stock and two diesel railcars – will cost around £80,000 to repair. Arrests Following Ruddington Car Key Burglary

Two men have been arrested in connection with a car key burglary in Ruddington. Nottinghamshire Police say: “We received a report, at 6.12pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 April 2019), that a house had been broken into in Ling Crescent and the victim’s car had been stolen. The stolen vehicle was later spotted on the A46 at Leicester. Four Ruddington Arrests Following Bulwell Burglary

A man and three boys have been arrested in connection with a burglary following a pursuit by Nottinghamshire Police this lunchtime. A statement says they were detained by officers at Ruddington Grange Golf Club after being followed a short distance from the Nottingham Knight roundabout at around 12.15pm today (Monday the 3rd of July). A vehicle, which was taken following a burglary in Stock Well, in Bulwell, just before 5.30am this morning, was also recovered.
