Two Teenagers Arrested Following Ruddington Knife Incident

Nottinghamshire Police are investigating after a disturbance in Ruddington this week during which it’s alleged two teenage boys chased and menaced two girls with a knife. A Ruddington mum, who prefers not to be named, reported the incident at St Mary’s Community Park to police, and also posted this warning on Facebook: “My oldest daughter was on the park with her friend after school and two young boys chased after them and pulled a knife on them. Ruddington Man Hospitalised By Reported Assault

Police investigations are continuing after an incident last night in our village which left a man needing hospital treatment. Emergency services were called to an address in Leys Court, Ruddington, at 9.21pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 12th October) after reports of an assault. Police tell us that the victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital, where he remains. However, his injures are not believed to be life threatening. Fire on Fairham Close!

There were dramatic scenes in Ruddington this afternoon as a blaze swiftly spread out of control across several back gardens in our village. Three crews from Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue raced to the scene following the report of a fire on Fairham Close at 4.26pm – which quickly set fire to “multiple” sheds and outbuildings before firefighters could arrive to tackle the flames {Nottinghamshire Live photo above}. Detectives are appealing for witnesses following what appeared to be two back-to-back incidents in Ruddington Village Centre last week. Customers and staff at Ruddington Fish Bar watched in some bemusement as the first early evening fracas unfolded on Thursday (3rd February) at just after 6pm. There were dramatic scenes in Ruddington last night when a police chase ended up in a village centre cul-de-sac. An eye witness reported to RUDDINGTON.info that an unmarked police car followed a vehicle into St Peter’s Crescent, but the driver didn’t realise it was a dead end. Man in Critical Condition Following Ruddington Fight

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with serious injuries – which officers believe were caused by a punch to the head. The 28-year-old was knocked unconscious following reports of a fight on Easthorpe Street just after 9.30pm last night (Saturday August 21). There have been some dramatic scenes in our village this evening (Thursday 12th November) after a van ended up on the pavement lodged between parked cars and the wall of a terraced cottage on one of Ruddington’s oldest roads. Incident at The Red Heart

Patrons enjoying a pleasant Saturday night out at a Ruddington pub found themselves surrounded by police and emergency services! Officers sped to The Red Heart on Easthorpe Street at around 9.20pm, and cordoned off the road, after a glass bottle was believed to have been thrown at a man in a fight – which left him nursing a neck wound. An ambulance also attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering. He has since been discharged.…

The family which owns a village property damaged during a blaze at the weekend has thanked those who reported the fire and prevented more serious damage. As RUDDINGTON.info previously reported, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a house at the corner of Kirk Lane and Loughborough Road at 12.32am on Saturday (14th December) when smoke was seen coming from the roof.
