Ruddington Man Hospitalised By Reported Assault

Police investigations are continuing after an incident last night in our village which left a man needing hospital treatment.

Emergency services were called to an address in Leys Court, Ruddington, at 9.21pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 12th October) after reports of an assault.

Police tell us that the victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital, where he remains. However, his injures are not believed to be life threatening.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police Crime Scene Investigation team returned to Leys Court this morning to try to find out more – which is when RUDDINGTON.info was alerted by concerned neighbours in the area. We understand CCTV footage from last night is now being reviewed.

Detective Sergeant Paul McMillan, of Nottinghamshire Police, says: “This was a serious but isolated incident and we are currently working to understand what happened. We understand that this issue may cause some concern in the local community but do not believe there is any risk to the wider public.”

He adds: “Anyone with additional information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 808 of 12 October 2022.”
