The Licensee of a popular Ruddington pub says he and his team are working hard to reopen as soon as possible following yesterday’s blaze. Firefighters were called out to The Frame Breakers at the corner of High Street ad Kirk Lane late in the afternoon (Wednesday 28th February) after fire broke out in the kitchen. A village resident has ended up in gaol after he set fire to his own flat. A man has been charged in connection with last week’s flat fire in Ruddington. Emergency services were called to Dunblane Road at 9.35pm on Thursday 12th October after concerns were raised for a man’s safety. Officers arrived and evacuated a number of residents after flames were seen coming from a first-floor flat. There were dramatic scenes in Ruddington this afternoon as a blaze swiftly spread out of control across several back gardens in our village. A woman had to be attended by ambulance staff following a blaze at her home in Ruddington this afternoon.
