Early Morning Blaze Hits Almost Two Thousand Homes

There were dramatic scenes in Ruddington during the early hours of this morning when an electricity sub-station on Old Station Drive caught fire – initially cutting power to 1,961 houses in our village. Flames were visible leaping high into the night sky. Arrest in Connection with Ruddington Burglary and Car Thefts

Nottinghamshire Police report they have today arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a series of car key burglaries and vehicle thefts. The incidents include a Ford CMax which was stolen in a burglary at a house on Packman Drive here in Ruddington at around 5.30am on Saturday 27th April. It was found burnt out in Oakthorpe, Leicestershire, at 9.20am. A jewellery shop in the centre of Ruddington has once again fallen victim to crime overnight. Rushcliffe Police have reported a burglary at David Richards Jewellers on Church Street in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 13th January). May Day Mercedes Theft on Musters Road

Another Ruddington property was targeted by criminals early this morning – with the householders’ executive car taken during the raid. The burglary happened on Musters Road at around 5am today (Tuesday 1st May), just before sunrise. Rushcliffe Police report that a grey Mercedes E350 Hybrid vehicle was stolen with keys taken from the property. Officers returned to the scene later this morning to carry out fingerprinting. Nottinghamshire Police are investigating a report that a 20-year-old man was threatened with a machete whilst holding his child at his home in Ruddington. Officers were called to Leys Road at around 8.30pm on Saturday (10th March). Rushcliffe Police are reporting another burglary on the outskirts of Ruddington – at Wayte Court, off Landmere Lane – last night (Tuesday 23rd January).
