Nottinghamshire Police have revealed a new Constable dedicated to our village. PC Stephen Piper has joined PCSO Philip Evans to focus on neighbourhood policing in Ruddington. Crime prevention is the key message from Rushcliffe South Neighbourhood Policing Team this month – following the release of their latest list of reported incidents in our village during February. Reported Crime Continues to Rise

The latest figures from Rushcliffe Police show there was another increase in incidents recorded by officers in Ruddington last month. Whilst numbers are still relatively low, there were 33% more offences logged for our village in December 2021 than the month before. Perhaps the most concerning involves a 12 year old child reportedly being bitten by “a large grey dog” on Vicarage Park – with police still trying to trace this potentially dangerous animal and its owner. As Ruddington heads into the festive season, Rushcliffe Police have released their latest monthly statistics showing that reported crime here more than doubled in a month. Whilst only four crimes were listed during October, new November statistics show nine separate offences in our village which were reported to officers online or via 101. A relatively quiet month for reported crime in Ruddington ended disappointingly when more windows were smashed in our village centre during Hallowe’en night ‘celebrations’. The damage (above) to Gino’s Ristorante on Sunday October 31st was reported the following day – with owner Guglielmo Frederico ‘Fred’ Formosa giving his CCTV footage of the incident to Police, who are now investigating. The latest Ruddington crime figures, just released by Rushcliffe Police, reveal that thieves have struck again at a Ruddington building site – for a THIRD time! Ruddington crime figures for last month just revealed by Rushcliffe Police show a spike in thefts, burglaries and items stolen from motor vehicles in our village – though without any criminal damage recorded this time around. Rushcliffe Police are reassuring householders they’ve increased their presence in Ruddington in the wake of a spate of criminal activity during the night in our village. New statistics just published by Nottinghamshire Police indicate the number of reported incidents of ‘antisocial behaviour’ in our village shot up by 132 per cent during the Coronavirus pandemic.
