A man who was arrested and charged by Rushcliffe Police in connection with two incidents separated by just ten minutes at our two Ruddington food stores last October has been sent to prison for two and a half years. 44 year-old Keith McLachlan, who admitted robbery, attempted robbery and having a bladed article, was jailed for his offences at Nottingham Crown Court. Rushcliffe Police are asking people to be especially vigilant at the moment after recent incidents where ATMs were attacked in the early hours of the morning. Ruddington Street Robbery Arrests

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of a knifepoint robbery in Ruddington. Rushcliffe Police say a boy was targeted by two men in Loughborough Road, who threatened him with a knife at about 7.10pm on Tuesday (27th March). They stole a quantity of cash from him before making off. Officers located two suspects nearby and two knives were recovered. A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man have been arrested.
