Excitement is mounting amongst younger children from our village (and beyond) that Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun will be back from Sunday April 11th at 9.00am! The usually weekly event in Ruddington’s Country Park has been cancelled for just over a year due to the Coronavirus pandemic – which, of course, led to Government restrictions on large gatherings. However, the green light has just been given to restart Parkrun for four to ten year-olds. A Sign of Better Times

Eagle-eyed travellers entering Ruddington this week may already have spotted a subtle new addition to our village gateway signs – indicating that things should be starting to get back to normal. Back to School – Again!

With an end to the COVID-19 pandemic finally in sight, Ruddington parents will be hoping this Monday’s return to classes for their children will be a permanent and irreversible one. It’s certainly been an unprecedented last twelve months.
