A new online platform – which aims to make both becoming a volunteer and requesting help in Ruddington a simple, safe and effective process – is being launched this weekend. Work Begins for New Housing Opposite Mere Way

The building of the second of Ruddington’s major new housing estates on former Green Belt land moves a step closer this week as around six months’ work begins to create the access. Just hours after the long awaited resurfacing work began on Camelot Street this morning, contractors called a halt and went home – citing dangerous behaviour and abuse from some motorists. It’s been a busy last 24 hours for police in Ruddington – with residents reporting blue and red flashing lights darting in different directions across our village! As new government Coronavirus restrictions begin today – in a bid to prevent a major second wave of COVID-19 infections – village businesses owners say they’re all set for the new rules aimed at keeping their customers safe. Man Arrested Following Flawforth Lane Car Thefts

Detectives investigating a report of two cars being stolen following a burglary in Ruddington have arrested a man as part of their enquiries. Officers were called to a property along Flawforth Lane on Monday 7th September after it was reported that car keys had been stolen in a house burglary and the cars then taken from the drive. Incident at The Red Heart

Patrons enjoying a pleasant Saturday night out at a Ruddington pub found themselves surrounded by police and emergency services! Officers sped to The Red Heart on Easthorpe Street at around 9.20pm, and cordoned off the road, after a glass bottle was believed to have been thrown at a man in a fight – which left him nursing a neck wound. An ambulance also attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering. He has since been discharged.…
