Police say a woman has been arrested after reports a car was involved in a collision with a parked car in Ruddington. Officers were called to Abingdon Drive in our village at 4.50pm yesterday (Wednesday 1st December). This road – and also Ashworth Avenue at its junction with the A60 – were temporarily blocked off whilst the incident was dealt with. It’s been a busy last 24 hours for police in Ruddington – with residents reporting blue and red flashing lights darting in different directions across our village! New Police Warning About Thefts from Vehicles

Although May was another relatively quiet month for crime in Ruddington, many of the incidents investigated by officers were again thefts from motor vehicles parked in residential areas of our village. These accounted for nearly half the offences reported. Police are reminding people not to leave valuables in unattended cars and vans, particularly overnight.
