A new pattern of wards is being developed for Rushcliffe Borough Council following The Local Government Boundary Commission‘s decision that the number of councillors here in Rushcliffe should be 44 – the same as it is now. However, with a significant amount of new housebuilding in Ruddington and other parts of the Borough, the Commission says our boundaries may need to change. Mere Way Junction Roadworks Extended Again

Major Ruddington roadworks which have already been causing peak time headaches for motorists for months are being extended by at least another three weeks. The work on Loughborough Road at the Mere Way roundabout to create a suitable access for the new William Davis Homes development on former Green Belt farmland began in September 2020. Ruddington representatives and residents have been paying tribute to HRH Prince Philip, whose passing at the age of 99 was announced today by Buckingham Palace. Clifton Road to Close Yet Again!

After having already been closed to through-traffic three times this year for roadworks, one of the main access routes in and out of Ruddington will be shut yet again this weekend.
