Scouts’ Successful Festive Fundraiser

One of the many attractions at Ruddington’s three day Village Christmas Market this year was a pop-up stall on the Saturday which was run by 1st Ruddington Scouts. Back in the summer we revealed how the 2023 ‘Ruddington Christmas Market’ would be building on last year’s hugely popular event by expanding to three days. Milestone Moment for Ruddington’s Railway

Despite the less than ideal autumn weather, it’s being reported that construction of a brand new building at Ruddington’s heritage railway is proceeding well – with new roof beams recently lifted into place {top photo by Tom Ingall} and the halfway point of the fundraising target now reached. It’s been revealed that individuals and groups volunteering at Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum (FWK) have been awarded the prestigious King’s Award for Voluntary Service 2023. No Parking on Parkyns Street!

A brand new knitted postbox topper and poppy wreath made by the famous ‘Ruddington Yarn Ninjas’ are among the ways our village is paying its respects this year to those who gave their lives to defend our country. Applications Open for Infant & Junior School Places

Whilst the official deadline for parents of village youngsters to apply for their Secondary School places outside Ruddington in 2024/2025 has now passed, the process for Infant and Primary children hoping they’ll be schooled here is only just beginning.
