Nottinghamshire Police have launched an appeal for information after a fight broke out between a group of women inside one of our village pubs. Officers were called to The Red Lion on Easthorpe Street last Friday night (10th February) at around 11.30pm when it was reported seven women were fighting and throwing glasses at each other. Three women, aged 35, 37 and 49, were arrested on suspicion of affray and have been bailed while investigations continue. Motorists entering our village via one of its northern gateways are being praised for doing better at obeying the speed limit than when Nottinghamshire Police previously carried out checks there. When Rushcliffe South neighbourhood officers last brought their radar gun to Wilford Road in September 2022 they recorded three vehicles still doing in excess of 35mph along the main, built-up stretch.
