Ruddington Fields Firm Announces Further Acquisition

Software company Ideagen Plc, which has its Head Office on Ruddington Fields Business Park, and employs around 1,200 people, has revealed it has entered into a “definitive agreement” to acquire ProcessMAP. In June, Ideagen itself was taken over by Rainforest Bidco Limited, a newly-incorporated wholly-owned subsidiary of funds managed by Hg Capital. However, it’s continuing to trade under the Ideagen brand as an already trusted name in software solutions for regulated industries. Man Arrested and Stolen Ruddington Car Recovered

A man has been arrested after police spotted and followed a car which was suspected of being stolen. Officers from Nottinghamshire Police’s operational support unit noticed that a Vauxhall Astra, which was travelling in the Clifton area during the early hours of yesterday (Saturday 1 October 2022), was displaying false number plates. The driver then tried to evade police and failed to stop. A short time later the car came to a halt in Village Road and a man was detained. Police checks revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Ruddington in August.…

‘Community Sundays’ in Ruddington

Organisers of the first ever ‘RUDD Awards’ have just announced the 18 finalists – individuals, businesses and community groups from the village who’ve been shortlisted from over 300 nominations. The inaugural ‘RUDD Awards’ were launched in July 2022 by RVCP, Ruddington Village Community Partnership, to celebrate locals who’re making a difference to life in Ruddington, as well as contributing to a thriving ‘community hub and prosperous high street’. It’s now three years since we first found out that Ruddington’s last remaining public telephone box would be decommissioned – when BT Payphones announced its lack of use made it no longer viable to keep it in service. The Grade II listed, traditional, red, cast iron kiosk in front of the War Memorial on Church Street {pictured top left} is a Type K6 designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott.
