Of course, the most hectic time of all for Santa Claus is Christmas Eve into Christmas Day morning, when he has to deliver presents all around the world, to every boy and girl who’ve been good, whilst they’re sleeping. However, it seems Father Christmas is also set to be very busy in the festive period beforehand, with several appearances right here in Ruddington – meaning either you can go along to meet him or that he’ll be paying an early visit to us. First up, although Santa will be coming…

Further Ruddington Bus Cuts Revealed
With Ruddington’s population continuing to grow substantially, largely as a result of significant recent housebuilding on our former Green Belt, you might think there’d actually be the demand for more bus services to and from our busy village? Yet the cutbacks to NCT’s Navy 3 timetable, and the axing of CT4N’s number 22 and 23 services, tell a different story – one where increasing numbers of residents and village workers are choosing to hop into their cars and drive instead – or even to book a taxi – rather than take…

Regular visitors to Rushcliffe Country Park here in Ruddington may already have noticed two rather ‘striking’ new additions between the children’s play area and outdoor gym/new skatepark. Officially called ‘Shade Sails’ (pictured top), they have been erected among the picnic benches to provide welcome shelter from the sun during the summer months, and protection from rain during the wet, winter months. They were funded by a visitor who made a generous donation in her will to a favourite park she had visited many times over the years. It’s possible the new structures rather…
