Ruddington Man Hospitalised By Reported Assault

Police investigations are continuing after an incident last night in our village which left a man needing hospital treatment. Emergency services were called to an address in Leys Court, Ruddington, at 9.21pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 12th October) after reports of an assault. Police tell us that the victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital, where he remains. However, his injures are not believed to be life threatening. There were dramatic scenes in Ruddington last night when a police chase ended up in a village centre cul-de-sac. An eye witness reported to RUDDINGTON.info that an unmarked police car followed a vehicle into St Peter’s Crescent, but the driver didn’t realise it was a dead end. Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after a number of cars were deliberately damaged outside properties along Elms Park. Furious home owners on the Ruddington estate found long scratch marks had appeared on their vehicles yesterday {1st April}. They appear to have been made wilfully using a key or other sharp instrument. Police say they’ve arrested two men after responding to reports of men fighting with weapons in our village – and are now appealing for witnesses. Nottinghamshire Police have been at Ruddington Co-op in the aftermath of an incident which left the front window next to the cashpoint smashed.
