Cars Vandalised at Elms Park

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after a number of cars were deliberately damaged outside properties along Elms Park.

Furious home owners on the Ruddington estate found long scratch marks had appeared on their vehicles yesterday {1st April}. They appear to have been made wilfully using a key or other sharp instrument. Village photographer Paul Witney, who took the photographs above and below, says: “There must be £1000’s worth of damage – at least eight cars on the road have been done!”

Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed to RUDDINGTON.info they are aware of “several victims” of what seems to have been a pointless act of mindless vandalism. They are appealing to anyone on Elms Park, who’s not yet reported such damage to their vehicle, to check and let them know via 101 as quickly as possible.

If you saw anything suspicious, believe you may have useful information about who caused this damage to cars in Ruddington, or may have captured CCTV footage which could help, you’re also asked to call officers on 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
