Carols by Candlelight

Christmas is a joyful celebration to bring everyone together. St Peter’s Church welcomes everyone to its Carols by Candlelight on Sunday 17th December at 7pm. Scenes such as the one above could soon become commonplace in our village if a planned Ruddington road safety initiative gets off the ground. Ruddington Parish Council (RPC) is currently on the lookout for ‘Community Speed Watch’ volunteers to assist the police with tackling the problem of speeding vehicles at trouble-spots such as Loughborough Road (above), Wilford Road and Clifton Road, to name just three. ‘Good Causes’ Cash Handed Out

The three beneficiaries of the 2022-2023 ‘Local Community Fund’, courtesy of shoppers at the Ruddington Co-op, have now received their money. They were Ruddington & District U3A, The Ruddington Pantry and 1st Clifton Scout Group. The cash is generated by Co-op members each time they buy groceries, insurance, financial and funeral services – and altogether totalled £10.4m to nearly 4,000 good causes during the past 12 months. Scouts’ Successful Festive Fundraiser

One of the many attractions at Ruddington’s three day Village Christmas Market this year was a pop-up stall on the Saturday which was run by 1st Ruddington Scouts.
