Rushcliffe Country Park has just received its 15th consecutive Green Flag Award – an acknowledgment that Ruddington’s much loved green space remains one of the very best parks in the UK. New Footbridge Opens

Allotment holders at Hareham Gardens in Ruddington are celebrating the completion of their new footbridge. It spans a brook and provides a step-free route between the two halves of the site – which houses a total of 62 plots. It needed to be suitable for wheelchair users – whilst the adults with learning difficulties who are supported by the THERA Trust to grow crops on one of the plots needed safe access to get between the car park and their plot. Free Tree Scheme Returns

Rushcliffe Borough Council is offering Ruddingtonians another chance to make our village greener – by applying for free trees for both our properties and the wider community. This year 800 Wild Cherry and Dogwood trees are being made available at no cost, in line with Council’s strategy “to provide sustainable environments in line with the Borough’s significant housing and employment growth” in the coming years. Housebuilder Rapped for Planning Breach

Residents at the southern end of our village have sent an official complaint to Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) after it became clear that a Ruddington property developer is allowing the first households to move into its new homes in violation of agreed planning conditions. Ruddington Allotment Project Receives Vital Funding

A group that manages a Ruddington allotment has received vital funding from ‘Reach Rushcliffe’ to help redevelop their gardening space to aid local residents’ health and mental wellbeing. The Rushcliffe Social Prescribing Group run a plot at the ‘Paradise Gardens’ allotments off Wilford Road which has received the funds to assist with the purchase of a summer house, planters, plants, soil and paving to give the site more accessibility.
