For over ten years now members of Ruddington Community Choir have been entertaining audiences – and themselves – with weekly rehearsals leading to regular concerts both in our village and further afield. Ruddington’s Rescheduled ‘Big Sing’

It’s almost six months since we brought you the disappointing news that the ‘Ruddington Big Sing’ would not be returning for 2022 after all – having been cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It had previously taken place every two years. The ‘Big Sing’ is Back!

Ruddington Community Choir has announced that its ‘Ruddington Big Sing’ will be returning for 2022 – the choir’s tenth anniversary year. After being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, Ruddington will once again be welcoming singers and choirs from both near and far on Saturday 8th October.* *Please read the important update below. Community Choir Celebrates Ten Years

It may seem like only yesterday that @RUDDINGTON_info Tweeted out an invitation to join a brand new village choir – but it was actually way back in February 2012!  This month is the tenth anniversary of Ruddington Community Choir‘s very first workshop. Goodbye Mr Mapperley

Pupils, staff and parents at a Ruddington school bade a fond farewell this week to the man who has been their Head Teacher for the past twelve years. After working thirty years in education, John Mapperley has retired from the post he has held at St Peter’s Junior School since January 2008 to pursue other options.
