Rushcliffe Borough Council is asking residents for their views on its polling districts and polling places when we vote in local, regional and national elections. Buckingham Palace has announced that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon (Thursday 8th September 2022). She was 96. The Queen was the UK’s longest-serving monarch, reigning for 70 years, with extensive celebrations to mark her Platinum Jubilee having taken place in Ruddington just three months’ ago. The Tour of Britain is Here!

The fifth stage of The ‘Tour of Britain’ national cycling race is now just days away, with cycling fans, residents and businesses preparing to see this sporting spectacle as it returns to Ruddington on Thursday 8th September. A ‘Summer of Cycling’

As excitement builds around the fifth stage of the ‘Tour of Britain’ 2022 – which will again see elite cyclists passing right through the centre of Ruddington next month – residents of all ages are being invited to take part in a day of FREE cycling activities at Rushcliffe Country Park this week. Residents’ Concerns Over Second Planning Breach

Villagers living close to the ‘Wilbur Chase’ housing development in Ruddington say they’re very concerned that the property builder could soon be allowed to get away with another serious infringement of its planning conditions for the new estate. New Rules for Ruddington Dog Walkers

Village residents who exercise their four legged friends in public places now need to be careful not to ‘fall foul’ of new regulations. Under amended rules which came into force today (Friday 8th July 2022) all dog owners/walkers in Rushcliffe must now carry a bag or have other means to pick up dog waste after their pet whenever out and about – otherwise face a possible £100 fine if unable to produce one on request.
