A ‘Summer of Cycling’

As excitement builds around the fifth stage of the ‘Tour of Britain’ 2022  – which will again see elite cyclists passing right through the centre of Ruddington next month – residents of all ages are being invited to take part in a day of FREE cycling activities at Rushcliffe Country Park this week. Kids’ Holiday Reading Challenge

With our ‘schools out for summer’, village children aged 4 to 11 are now being invited to get involved with this year’s ‘Summer Reading Challenge’ at Ruddington Library. The aim is to read six books or more between now and September 4th. The 2022 Challenge has been developed by The Reading Agency in partnership with The Science Museum Group. A unique and musical Christmas commercial featuring staff from a dozen of Ruddington’s High Street retailers singing on location in tandem with Ruddington Community Choir – the first of its kind for our village – premiered today (Saturday 1st December) during the annual Christmas Fayre! Visitors to both the The Frame Breakers’ pub and St Peter’s Church {top photo} gathered to watch the debut public screenings of the “Twelve Days of Christmas” carol, #RuddyGood style. The latest edition of Ruddington’s must have guide – now containing 37 places to visit on a #RuddyGoodDayOut – is available now.  Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP) facilitated the official launch at their High Street stall during Ruddington’s 2018 Christmas Fayre – handing out their Loyalty Cards along with the new ‘Ruddy Good Day Out’ booklets to passers-by. Twelve Retailers Recording?

You may have spotted a tall man with a camera visiting various Ruddington businesses over the past week or so – then asking the staff to sing!? In a festive first for our village, Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP) contacted all of its Loyalty Card retailers asking them if they’d like to be involved in a localised Christmas music video to help promote themselves and their business.
