The latest edition of Ruddington’s must have guide – now containing 37 places to visit on a #RuddyGoodDayOut – is available now.  Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP) facilitated the official launch at their High Street stall during Ruddington’s 2018 Christmas Fayre – handing out their Loyalty Cards along with the new ‘Ruddy Good Day Out’ booklets to passers-by. Fayre Grand!

Ruddington’s 2016 Christmas Fayre held on Saturday the 3rd of December has been hailed another success by most of the visitors and village businesses involved. Organised by Ruddington Parish Council, it involved the closure of High Street throughout the day to accommodate numerous undercover street stalls in two large marquees, food and drink sellers, Keyworth & Ruddington Rotary‘s Father Christmas in his sleigh and even an MC! The Black Cat is Coming!

Perhaps so far only Mathew’s Café & Deli regulars have spotted the new face in charge at 24D High Street? But soon the popular Ruddington venue will also have a striking new name and an updated menu. It will then be “Black Cat Café”. The name has been inspired by the accountancy firm Black Cat Accounting which new owner Julie Smith had been running with her husband. Cheaper Ruddington bus travel for 16 & 17 year olds!

Ruddington’s main bus operator has announced that passengers aged 16 and 17 will shortly be able to take advantage of lower fares.  This comes as the age threshold for adult rates on Nottingham City Transport increases from 16 to 18 this weekend. From Sunday 28th August anyone aged 17 or below catching our Navy 3 or Green 10 NCT services to or from Ruddington will be able to pay just £1 – in a move designed to help apprentices, college and sixth form students across the city.  The same fare will also apply across other…

Ruddington’s new web site, run by village resident Graham Wright (pictured above left with NCT’s Anthony Carver-Smith), was heralded in style today thanks to a preview event kindly promoted by the Ruddington Business Partnership, hosted by The Ruddington Arms, and sponsored by our launch partners Nottingham City Transport (NCT).
