Ruddington’s famous ‘Firework Spectacular‘ is at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre on Saturday 4th November. ‘The Wakes’ Are Coming!

Sellors’ Playing Field will once again be alive with the sound of music and laughter this week as Ruddington’s annual family fun fair takes place. Weather permitting, this year’s traditional event, run by David Cox Family Amusements, is happening from Wednesday 21st until Sunday 25th of June 2023. Ruddington ‘Wakes’ Funfair

This is an annual, traditional, family event. Ruddington ‘Wakes’ dates back over one hundred years, when the St Peter’s Feast was the start of the school holidays in the village (around the 29th of June). For 2022, the rides and attractions open at 5pm on Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd & Friday 24th and from 2pm on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June. Travellers on Sellors’ Field Evicted

Families from the travelling community, who unexpectedly made Ruddington their home recently, have now officially been told to leave. Ruddington Parish Council (RPC) says an eviction notice was served upon the travellers today by the legal services firm it has employed to handle this matter. Ruddington’s third annual “Summer Fayre” is to be held on The Green on Saturday the 21st of July, and promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s. After the success of the first two events it’s again been organised for the village by the Events Team at Ruddington Parish Council – and will take place between midday and 6pm.
