Buckingham Palace has announced that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon (Thursday 8th September 2022). She was 96. The Queen was the UK’s longest-serving monarch, reigning for 70 years, with extensive celebrations to mark her Platinum Jubilee having taken place in Ruddington just three months’ ago. Schools’ Jubilee Jamboree!

With events being held throughout Ruddington to mark The Queen’s 70 years on the throne, our two village schools wanted to make sure their pupils didn’t miss out because of the holiday.
