Tributes to Ruddington Golf Club Owner

The funeral is taking place this week of John Pownall – the man who has owned Ruddington Grange Golf Club for almost a quarter of a century. He died peacefully in hospital on the 2nd of May. He was 84. Our 6,515 yard Par 72 village golf course had only existed for eight years when John bought it from original owner Jack Johnson in 1996. Ruddington’s Royal Rendezvous

Ruddington had some high profile Royal visitors this week – who managed to keep such a low profile that hardly anyone in the village even knew they’d been here! Local resident Maureen Wood sadly passed away on the 11th of August 2018, at the age of 80, following a struggle with ill health.
