Ruddington Reflects on City Centre Attacks

Today police announced they have charged Valdo Calocane, a 31-year-old man of no fixed address, with three counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder following the early morning attacks in Nottingham city centre on Tuesday (13th June 2023). 19-year-old University of Nottingham students Barnaby Webber and Grace O’Malley-Kumar were fatally stabbed in Ilkeston Road just after 4am and, later, 65-year-old school caretaker Ian Coates was found fatally stabbed in Magdala Road. Normal Bus Services Resume

Ruddington bus passengers are welcoming the news that the services from our main village operator will revert to their previous levels later this month. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) cut back its operations on January 10th citing the rising number of Coronavirus cases and a shortage of bus drivers. Ruddington bus passengers catching Nottingham City Transport (NCT) Navy 3 and Green 10 services to and from the City Centre will find a permanent change to both their routes and bus stops from this week. Robin Hood Marathon Green 10 Changes

The annual Robin Hood Marathon is taking place this Sunday 29th September which will affect Nottingham City Transport buses crossing the route, including Ruddington’s Green 10 and Green 10C services. Some disruption will occur between 8.30am and 1.30pm. Ruddington’s Framework Knitters Museum is hosting a FREE wartime extravaganza on Bank Holiday Monday, the 29th of  May.
