Motorists entering our village via one of its northern gateways are being praised for doing better at obeying the speed limit than when Nottinghamshire Police previously carried out checks there. When Rushcliffe South neighbourhood officers last brought their radar gun to Wilford Road in September 2022 they recorded three vehicles still doing in excess of 35mph along the main, built-up stretch. Over eighteen months after plans were revealed to add further houses to a current Ruddington development, permission to expand it onto additional land which was also previously part of our village Green Belt has been granted by Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC). Police are appealing for information following an unexpected discovery at the scene of a car crash this week. Further Navy 3 Timetable Changes

Just four months’ ago the axing of CT4N’s number 22 and 23 Ruddington services had the knock-on effect of Nottingham City Transport (NCT) re-routing some of its daytime Navy 3 buses away from our village. This was to maintain an hourly direct bus link from 8.30am to 3.30pm to the City Centre, Trent Bridge and Clifton Centre for the residents of Wilford Village and Silverdale (as service Navy 3A).
