Plans submitted to Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) to substantially enlarge an historic Ruddington public house have been withdrawn. As reported last month, the owners of The Frame Breakers at the corner of High Street and Kirk Lane had applied for planning permission to build a three storey side extension, with two storey side and rear extension, to the existing building, as shown above. THREE Day Christmas Market Revealed

Organisers of our monthly Ruddington Village Market have announced yet another departure from the norm for their festive offering this year; they’re planning to run it over THREE days! Ruddington Village Community Partnership (RVCP) has revealed the 2023 dates and times will be Thursday 30th November 4pm – 9pm, Friday 1st December 4pm – 9pm and Saturday 2nd December 11am – 5pm. It’s now twelve months since Ruddington’s The Split Screen Coffee Company began operating the café based within Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum (FKM) – and its owners are pleased to report their business is going from strength to strength. Ruddington was alive with the sound of music yesterday – as around 170 voices demonstrated the joy of singing at various venues around our village. Adopt a Flower Bed!

An imaginative volunteering idea has been unveiled by a Ruddington tourist attraction aiming to get all generations involved at its village centre heritage site. The Framework Knitters’ Museum on Chapel Street has launched a campaign to find two ‘green fingered’ families over the summer holidays. Those chosen will adopt a flower bed, in the museum’s gardens, and be given British cottage flowers to tend to once a week throughout June, July and August.
