The first-ever ‘Rudd Award’ winners were announced at a special ceremony at St Peter’s Church last night {Friday 18th November}, with a raft of Ruddington favourites celebrated for their contribution to the local community. Joe and Pudsey’s Ruddington Visit

The organisers of Ruddington’s Junior Parkrun have released final details about the two very special visitors coming to our Country Park this weekend. As previously reported, Pudsey Bear and celebrity body-coach Joe Wicks will be taking part in Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun this Sunday, 13th November 2022, as part of BBC Children in Need‘s annual fundraising. However, it’s worth noting some significant changes to Ruddington’s usual weekly event for 4 to 14 year-olds. Ruddington Remembers

A new poppy display by the now famous ‘Ruddington Yarn Ninjas’ is among the ways our village is paying its respects this year to those who gave their lives to defend our country. Adorning the railings in front of St Peter’s Church, near the War Memorial, the Ninjas have had a little extra help creating this one. New Chair Gets Ready For Remembrance

As Ruddington prepares for the annual Royal British Legion Parade and Service of Remembrance at our War Memorial, on Sunday 13th November 2022, the Ruddington and District Branch has a new Chairman. £8k Funding for Improved Museum Shop

Staff and volunteers at Ruddington’s historic Framework Knitters’ Museum are celebrating the award of new cash to upgrade their newly established café and shop. ‘Parker’s Yard’ was added late last year when the museum site expanded into the former ‘Gun Cottage’ – between the original workers’ cottages and frameshops and the old Knitters’ Chapel. This allowed a brand new visitor entrance, hospitality and retail area – including a separate new garden. Goodbye Bridge As Rail ‘Reunification’ Gets Closer

The major work which started in January to upgrade the lakeside Education Centre and its associated facilities in Rushcliffe Country Park is now complete.
