New Rules for Ruddington Dog Walkers

Village residents who exercise their four legged friends in public places now need to be careful not to ‘fall foul’ of new regulations. Under amended rules which came into force today (Friday 8th July 2022) all dog owners/walkers in Rushcliffe must now carry a bag or have other means to pick up dog waste after their pet whenever out and about – otherwise face a possible £100 fine if unable to produce one on request. Dutton’s Hill Closed Again

Unfortunately there are several sets of highway works liable to cause inconvenience and delays for Ruddington motorists during July. These include the total closure of Dutton’s Hill again over the next two Sundays for more gas work. Although these ‘Prohibition of Driving’ notices on that section of Wilford Road should not impinge on weekday traffic this time, drivers cutting through the estate to avoid a longer diversionary route are liable to result in further frustration for home owners along St John’s Road and St Mary’s Crescent in particular. Ruddington’s King of Takeovers is Taken Over

A high-flying software company based in Ruddington Fields Business Park – which has become well known for its multi-million pound acquisitions of other companies – has revealed that it has now itself been acquired. Ideagen Plc, which employs around 400 people, and has its Head Office at Ergo House on Mere Way, has been taken over by Rainforest Bidco Limited, a newly-incorporated wholly-owned subsidiary of funds managed by Hg Capital. Tackling Food Poverty in Ruddington

A new, community venture offering a chef-prepared, two-course hot meal for just £1 starts this week in Ruddington. Called ‘Heat ‘n’ Eat’, organisers say it’s a new way for villagers to enjoy affordable, good, wholesome food which will be served-up in the peaceful surroundings of St Peter’s Church.
