Green Memory Café 

This is your invitation to the Green Memory Café launch at Rushcliffe Country Park. The Café is a new initiative in Ruddington for people living with memory loss and their carers. You can drop in to the newly refurbished Meeting Room at the Visitor Centre on Wednesday 21st June, anytime between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. Rushcliffe Dementia Project aim is for people to experience nature based activities, short walks or just to relax, socialise and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Ruddington’s First Rapid Chargers

It’s been rather a long time coming, but our village is now offering rapid charging provision for use by the ever-increasing number of residents and visitors with electric vehicles (EVs). Two EV charging points have just been installed at the entrance to Rushcliffe Country Park, operating on the national BP Pulse network. These units offer up to 50kW charging speeds which, for a small car like the MINI Electric (pictured) means charging up from 20% to 80% will take only around 20 minutes. The recently opened coffee shop within the new extension and gardens at Ruddington’s knitting and textile museum is now officially in new hands – following its ‘launch’ this weekend. The Split Screen Coffee Company – which has previously traded from The Bottle Top on High Street as well as from its famous converted VW camper van – is now running the hospitality area at Parker’s Yard within the former ‘Gunn Cottage’. New Ruddington Defibrillator

Residents in the area around Musters Road and in the new Wilbur Chase development now have much easier access to a piece of potentially life saving equipment – thanks to an initiative by Ruddington Baptist Church. Hundreds Attend Skate Park’s Official Opening

This weekend’s official opening of Ruddington’s new skate park has been hailed a great success by organisers – after people of all ages and abilities flocked to the special sessions arranged for its launch at Rushcliffe Country Park yesterday (Saturday 14th August). Eco Buses For Green 10 Service

Nottingham City Transport has confirmed that Ruddington will be one of the first places to benefit from its brand new eco-friendly buses. Several will be introduced on our Green 10 route early next month.
