It’s been confirmed a Ruddington community venture which started over the summer, offering a chef-prepared, two-course lunch for just £1, will continue into next year – and also increase the number of diners it can accommodate. The twice monthly ‘Heat ‘n’ Eat’ meals, comprising good quality and wholesome, hot food, began at the end of June 2022. ‘Warm Welcome Spaces’ Agreed in Ruddington

Last month we reported how St Peter’s Church and Ruddington Parish Council were launching a village initiative to help those here who may struggle to both feed their families and heat their homes this winter. Tackling Food Poverty in Ruddington

A new, community venture offering a chef-prepared, two-course hot meal for just £1 starts this week in Ruddington. Called ‘Heat ‘n’ Eat’, organisers say it’s a new way for villagers to enjoy affordable, good, wholesome food which will be served-up in the peaceful surroundings of St Peter’s Church.  It’s been made possible by financial support from Rushcliffe Borough Council, and the £1 cost also includes a soft drink. Green Grant for Ruddington Firm

A village-based business has secured £300,000 to completely replace its existing heating system – which should reduce its carbon emissions in Ruddington by around 150 tonnes a year.  Artex Limited will use the funds to install a much greener ‘biomass’ heating system at its Pasture Lane site.
