All Artex Lorries to be Powered by Vegetable Oil

By the end of 2023, the full Artex HGV fleet will run on hydro-treated vegetable oil (HVO). HVO is a biofuel that originates from vegetable oils and reduces carbon emissions by 90% compared to diesel. Artex to be Fossil-fuel Free On Site by End of 2022

The Artex Ltd site on Pasture Lane in Ruddington will be fossil fuel-free by the end of the year, thanks to the installation of a biomass heating system. The new system will heat their warehouses, offices and hot water to remove diesel and gas and fully decarbonise their site. Pellet silos are currently being constructed and will feed wooden pellets into the furnace, warming the air in the system which is then distributed through air vents into the warehouse and fed into the office central heating system. Green Grant for Ruddington Firm

A village-based business has secured £300,000 to completely replace its existing heating system – which should reduce its carbon emissions in Ruddington by around 150 tonnes a year.  Artex Limited will use the funds to install a much greener ‘biomass’ heating system at its Pasture Lane site.
