Rebecca’s Swim in Memory of Dad

A Ruddington resident who did her first fundraising challenge last summer to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK is encouraging other villagers to do likewise this year. Rebecca Thompson (pictured top with her dad) wanted to take part in ‘Swim15’ because bowel cancer runs in her family. Bloomin’ Dementia’s Big Day Out

The August Bank Holiday weekend will see the welcome return of a Ruddington charity’s main annual fundraiser – after it had to be cancelled last year due to COVID-19. Team Artex Rally Last Minute Support

A Ruddington based business, perhaps best known for its swirly ceilings, will be expecting a great finish with its latest fundraiser! This week, a team of four from home improvement giant Artex on Pasture Lane take part in the Vado Rally – driving a “banger” from Dover to Copenhagen over five days. These include National Accounts Manager Amy Smith and Tony Wright (pictured top). The banger in question is a 13 year old Renault Scenic 1.4 – which they had to buy for under £500 to qualify. Mustard Seed Summer Fundraisers
