Evening Disruption for Ruddington Bound Buses

Nottingham City Transport is advising passengers of changes to its Green 10 service for almost three weeks whilst Nottinghamshire County Council carries out resurfacing work on part of the A60 – including Trent Bridge and Loughborough Road. This work will mean the closure of that part of the A60 to all traffic and, as a result, its Navy and Green line services will need to be diverted from Monday 15th July 2019 until Thursday 1st August inclusive between 7.00pm and 5.00am each night. New Plans for Old Convenience Store

A revised planning application for a former Ruddington convenience store has been put before Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) – which now proposes THREE levels on the site of the existing single storey building. It was back in December 2017 that Barclay & Cook, at 7-9 High Street, closed its doors after over forty years under the stewardship of David Cook when dwindling trade prompted his decision to sell the shop and retire. Future of Navy 3 Bus Secure!

Ruddington’s main transport operator has confirmed the changes it made to our Navy 3 bus service in January have been sufficient to safeguard the route. Timetable reductions were introduced ‘reluctantly’ earlier this year by Nottingham City Transport after the multi-award winning bus company revealed it had been running these services at a loss ever since taking over the old ‘Ruddington Connection’ route just over three years’ earlier.
