St Valentine is the latest subject to receive the attention of talented creatives in and around our village for their current ‘Ruddington Yarn Bomb’. The Best of Ruddington Unveiled

The first-ever ‘Rudd Award’ winners were announced at a special ceremony at St Peter’s Church last night {Friday 18th November}, with a raft of Ruddington favourites celebrated for their contribution to the local community. The inaugural Rudd Awards, organised by Ruddington Village Community Partnership (RVCP), was introduced by RVCP Chair Mike Ader and compered by BBC Radio Nottingham Drivetime presenter Verity Cowley {pictured} with a little help from the Vicar of Ruddington Revd Andrew Buchanan. Ruddington Remembers

A new poppy display by the now famous ‘Ruddington Yarn Ninjas’ is among the ways our village is paying its respects this year to those who gave their lives to defend our country. Adorning the railings in front of St Peter’s Church, near the War Memorial, the Ninjas have had a little extra help creating this one. Since last Thursday’s very sad and rather unexpected news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, residents, businesses and organisations here in Ruddington have been paying their respects in different ways. This latest burst of creative, knitted activity has just hit our village centre for the summer – courtesy of the now infamous ‘Ruddington Yarn Ninjas’. The ‘Ruddington Yarn Ninjas’ are appealing for villagers’ help after their knitted Royal Balcony scene was ripped off the railings of St Peter’s Church last night (Sunday 29th May)*. *GOOD NEWS – UPDATE BELOW! Eagle-eyed Ruddingtonians will already have spotted the appearance of some new, knitted creations around our village – courtesy of the now famous ‘Ruddington Yarn Ninjas’.
