Ruddington’s First Multi-Storey Car Park Opens

It was just over two years’ ago when RUDDINGTON.info reported plans to build a four-storey car park at Ruddington Fields Business Park. After a slight redesign during the planning approval process, it has now been officially opened. However, this parking is not for public use, but for staff and visitors to the headquarters of MHR Global – the Ruddington based HR, payroll and analytics provider. Asher Lane Parking Plea

Safety concerns have been raised by local residents after a significant recent increase in visitors attempting to use Asher Lane to park for Rushcliffe Country Park. It seems the issue has been especially bad on Saturdays and Sundays – with drivers favouring access through our narrow village streets to try to park alongside the north eastern perimeter of the popular Ruddington green space rather than in the official car park off Mere Way. As we enter the second week of the new national Coronavirus ‘lockdown’, concerns are being expressed by users of Rushcliffe Country Park that ‘social distancing’ and other COVID-safe guidelines are not being followed.
