Latest Village Figures Revealed

As Ruddington heads into the festive season, Rushcliffe Police have released their latest monthly statistics showing that reported crime here more than doubled in a month. Whilst only four crimes were listed during October, new November statistics show nine separate offences in our village which were reported to officers online or via 101. Woman Arrested After Abingdon Drive Crash

Police say a woman has been arrested after reports a car was involved in a collision with a parked car in Ruddington. Officers were called to Abingdon Drive in our village at 4.50pm yesterday (Wednesday 1st December). This road – and also Ashworth Avenue at its junction with the A60 – were temporarily blocked off whilst the incident was dealt with. More Smashed Windows As Latest Crime Stats Revealed

A relatively quiet month for reported crime in Ruddington ended disappointingly when more windows were smashed in our village centre during Hallowe’en night ‘celebrations’. The damage (above) to Gino’s Ristorante on Sunday October 31st was reported the following day – with owner Guglielmo Frederico ‘Fred’ Formosa giving his CCTV footage of the incident to Police, who are now investigating. Two Car Crash Closes Kirk Lane

A police pursuit through Ruddington this morning ended up in a two car collision in our village centre. It’s understood officers spotted a vehicle which was being driven suspiciously through the Lenton area and began tailing it as it approached Ruddington. Police say it then sped away from them and collided with another vehicle as it was being driven at some speed along Kirk Lane. Police Car Rammed During Ruddington Pursuit

There were dramatic scenes in Ruddington last night when a police chase ended up in a village centre cul-de-sac. An eye witness reported to RUDDINGTON.info that an unmarked police car followed a vehicle into St Peter’s Crescent, but the driver didn’t realise it was a dead end. Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed that a vehicle was followed into Shaw Street before the driver stopped, got out and spoke to the officer.  However, he then got back into the vehicle, rammed into the police car and sped off. New proposals to resolve access issues for residents in a Ruddington cul-de-sac, whilst still enabling some parking there for those who need it, have been put out for consultation. The latest Ruddington crime figures, just released by Rushcliffe Police, reveal that thieves have struck again at a Ruddington building site – for a THIRD time! In the early hours of 10th September 2021, criminals got away with a three tonne digger from the Linden Homes ‘Blacksmith’s Green’ development. Previously, thousands of pounds worth of scaffolding was stolen from the Flawforth Lane construction site in July, and various building items went missing in a raid the month before. Ruddington Woman Arrested in Fraud Investigation

Specialist teams investigating reports of fraud totalling over £100,000 descended on a house on Musters Road earlier today as part of what they called “proactive and intelligence-led action” into the claims.
